Great Strides Walk for CFF

Yesterday Ryan and I participated

in the Great Strides Walk

for Cystic Fibrosis

We were there to support our

friends the Medley Family :)

Ryan started things out like any

normal person does at a WALK.

WARNING! Looking at the following

photos may make you tired and thirsty!

This is not a joke :)

But, then out of no where she wanted to

RUN!

I tried to holler that it's "a WALK"

but...

She just kept running!

She not only ran down the hill,

but she ran up it to!

We were able to stop long enough

to enjoy the views-

It was such a beautiful day!

Finally Ryan stopped for water...

...but, she took off again!


Alright, we made it.

Nope! She kept freakin' running!!

It's like she turned into

"Forrest Gump the Toddler"

She even got other people's kids to run

with her.

After all that running it looked

like she was finally taking a break...

SIKE!

She jumped off of rocks...

over...

...and over again.

She finally did stop.

...and for the rest of the day

we walked...

thankfully

You did a great job today

kiddo!

P.S.-Ryan's only nap after this

was in the car on the drive home

from 11:15 am-12:00 pm.

The meltdown was a kicker!

Sprinkler Time!

With the highest temperatures

of the year upon us we decided

to get a new kid sprinkler to cool off

on Saturday

Ryan spent theafternoon trying to get all of

the tubes wiggling and dancing...

Afterwards, we enjoyed

some "farmer's fruit" as Ryan calls it!

She loves to eat sweet peas

and cherries from the farmer's market :)

Beach Picnic

On Sunday we went to Heart's Desire Beach

on Tomales Bay for a Mom's Day picnic!

Ryan DID NOT like it!

She didn't want to touch anything!

But, then we started looking for baby crabs

(notice Ryan is still upset)

We caught 3 crabs with our bucket!

This made Ryan very happy :)

The weather was perfect,

the food was tasty and we

had the best time!

There were even ladybugs!


Ryan was so fascinated at how many there were...

She kept trying to pick them up, but it was

hard to pick them up without squishing them!

Ryan ended up having a great time

at Heart's Desire beach!

Happy Mother's Day

Backyard Boredom

We played in the backyard for
awhile on Sunday

Ryan wanted to kick back & pretend she

was sunbathing in the shade

Then had a brilliant idea!

She was going to practice her silly faces.

Pretty weak...

still weak...

weaker...

OK! Now that is some serious silly face!

She was pretty proud of herself :)

Later Ryan snuck off for an afternoon skinny dip. Busted!!

Albert's Park

Over the weekend we went to Albert's Park to fly Ryan's kite!

It had been awhile...

... but she finally got the hang of it

She's such a little athlete!

We took a break and Ryan enjoyed

her first-ever Slurpee!

She didn't really know if she liked it at first,

but soon figured out how yummy Slurpees are!

Yeah,

all interest in playing with the kite

came to an end after that...
